벨라루스 대선서 장기집권 루카셴코 79% 넘는 득표율로 압승
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is set for landslide victory in the eastern European country's presidential election.
The nation's central election commission said Sunday that early results shows he's far ahead in his bid for a sixth consecutive term.
"Lukashenko, according to results in the 'closed' polling stations in five regions, received 82.08%."
The commission said the main opposition candidate, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who came in second out of a total of five candidates, received less than 7 percent of the vote.
Around 9 percent of voters reportedly voted against all candidates.
Lukashenko has been in power since 1994.
He won the 2015 presidential election with around 83 percent of the vote.
