Malaysia's number of new COVID-19 positive cases returned to a single digit with nine new cases reported today involving five imported cases and four local transmissions.

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this brings the cumulative figure of positive cases to 9,103 and the number of active cases with infectivity to 169.
