After the passing of his dad, Harry spent a big part of his formative years in Boys' Town. “The religious Brothers were a very significant part of my upbringing. They played an adopted father. Moments of them teaching me, guiding me, giving me the opportunity to make all the mistakes that I want to make, in a safe environment.”
Unknowingly, his attitude of service and trust influenced his son James to give back to Boys' Town through a charity drive for Boys' Town they conceived together - a 500km walk from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur earlier this year (2019).
How did they touch each other's lives as father and son? How did this dynamic duo with their family's support took the first steps to be "missionaries" in their own right?
We too can spread God’s love in our own little ways!
“Take your daily life as a challenge where you can not only grow for yourself but grow with God that is with you.” Harry Mealin
Inspiring stories. From stories about being at the lowest point in life, to losing a child or a spouse to encounters with the God who made us and knows us. These are just a sampling of stories ‘new parables’ about how people have walked their journeys in life either with the Lord or finding him later as a result of the challenges they faced. Families and individuals have found the sometimes subtle but recognisable workings of the Lord in their circumstances.
