Chef Yong Bing Ngen, 53, the owner of Majestic Restaurant in Singapore, entered the industry at age 16. He rose through the ranks and headed top Chinese restaurants in the republic before setting out on his own, together with hotelier-restaurateur Loh Lik Peng in 2006.
