Following a questionable land purchase deal with 1Malaysia Development Berhad, Bank Negara Malaysia Governor Tan Sri Muhammad Ibrahim is said to have offered to resign. Money from the deal is said to have been channelled to paying for the troubled investment fund’s huge debt.
