Santubong MP Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said there is no basis for Latheefa Koya to be grilled by the Parliament Special Select Committee on Public Appointments over her appointment as the chief commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

During a press conference at Parliament lobby on Thursday, Dr Wan Junaidi added that there were no provisions under any law or Standing Order that empowered the particular Parliament Select Committee to summon Latheefa for a hearing.
