PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim told reporters on Monday that he could not attend could not attend the Kongres Maruah Melayu (Malay Dignity Congress) as he only received the invitation at the last minute and had another programme in Negri Sembilan.

On whether he agreed that the Finance Minister position be filled by a Malay, Anwar said the post should be held by one who is qualified, competent and professional.
