Degrees of Freedom focuses on kinetic furniture pieces and homewares. After working on the solar arrays at SpaceX, founder Brian Ignaut wanted to develop something more accessible. Each piece's folding mechanisms are inspired by origami. These include a lamp, a side table, a chess set, and even a ring box.
