A clever rook in China switched on a water tap to get a drink of water when it was thirsty.

The video was filmed in the city of Maoming in Guangdong Province on August 24.

According to the rook owner Mr Zhang, he did not know his one-year-old rook, named Lei Gong, could switch on the water tap by itself until a neighbour complained about it to him.
