태풍 '마이삭'... 부산, 경남에서 피해 속출

Typhoon Maysak made landfall last night in Busan, leaving major damage in its wake.
Our Choi Won-jong is on the scene this morning.
Won-jong, what can you tell us?
Morning to you, Mokyeon. Let me just begin by saying it was an unbelievable scene last night here in Busan when Typhoon Maysak has slammed into the mainland.
As you can see, strong gusts of winds and some rainfall right now.
Where I am standing right now was one of the places hardest hit by Typhoon Maysak, leaving this area in complete chaos.
After a few lightning strikes since 1 AM last night, the typhoon caused power outages in many buildings near the beach.
Heavy rain and strong winds have damaged many windows and walls from many stores, and I can also see broken store signs on the streets right now.
According to the authorities, there were more than 180 cases of damage, including the outer wall of buildings and trees falling down, as of 2 AM.
Due to the typhoon, flight and ferry operations are in disarray.
More than 80 flights in and out of Gimhae International Airport have been cancelled, and all the planes have been moved to Incheon and Gimpo airports, closer to Seoul.
And more than 670 ships have been secured to their docks as well.
Once again, Typhoon Maysak made landfall at approximately at 3 AM on Thursday.
Choi Won-jong, Reporting live from Busan.
Back to you, Mokyeon.
