Water management company Air Selangor has announced that it will take at least four days for water supply to 1.2 million users to be restored, according to its chief executive Suhaimi Kamaralzaman.
In a statement today, Suhaimi said the contamination level at four water treatment plants, Sungai Selangor Phases 1, 2, 3, and Rantau Panjang, was recorded at 1 threshold odour number (TON) as of 2.30pm today.
The water treatment plants could only start operating again when the pollution level reduces to 0 TON.
