In their recent meetings with their Chinese counterparts, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar built a consensus with the Chinese side that there should be a quick and complete disengagement of troops along the Line of Actual Control.

However, there is no clarity on further border talks between the two nations.

On the other hand, multiple incidents of Chinese troops acting volatile along the LAC continue to emerge even as China shies away from military level talks. So, what is China's true intention?
