SAD leader Harsimrat Kaur resigned from the Narendra Modi cabinet on Thursday night objecting to three farm bills, meant to replace three Ordinances notified in June. The events unfolded as farmers' protest intensified in Punjab, which goes to polls in about 18 months.
Speaking exclusively to India Today TV's Rajdeep Sardesai, Harsimrat Kaur said that when the ordinance was introduced, she raised her apprehensions about it as a Union Minister in the Modi government. In fact, she says she tried till the very end to change the ordinance before her decision to resign as the Union Cabinet Minister.
