Despite the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in Sabah, the Health Ministry says there is no need to postpone the state elections set to take place on Saturday (Sept 26).
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that on Tuesday, adding that the situation in Sabah was under control and measures had been taken to contain the outbreak.
Dr Noor Hisham also said the ministry in Sabah had stepped up screening of close contacts of Covid-19 patients.
