Latest research shows that lactobacillus culture fluid, Lactobacillus plantarum N-I-B-R 97, isolated from kimchi has virus sterilization effects.
South Korea's National Institute of Biological Resources says it began conducting related research in April, as the COVID-19 began to spread.
The research results were also published in the international journal, Pharmaceuticals.
