4등급 허리케인 델타, 멕시코 접근…캉쿤 등 주민•관광객 대피
Hurricane Delta is approaching Mexico and the U.S. Gulf Coast as a Category 4 storm.
If it stays on it current course, the storm is forecast to hammer Mexico on Wednesday into Thursday, and continue on to batter the U.S. Gulf Coast later this week.
Dangerous flooding is expected, with torrential rain of 4 to 6 inches forecast.
Mexico has already began evacuating residents from coastal areas.
The governors of Louisiana and Alabama have also declared states of emergency, to prepare for the upcoming storm.
