The state government has received a major setback for the 6 municipal corporations of Jaipur, Jodhpur and Kota. The Supreme Court has refused to postpone the election till March 2021, refusing to stay the order of the Rajasthan High Court. Also, the Supreme Court has ordered the State Election Commission to notify the election program in a week. The Election Commission has been allowed to go to Rajasthan High Court if the dates of the election program go beyond 31 October.

जयपुर, जोधपुर और कोटा के 6 नगर निगम चुनाव को लेकर राज्य सरकार को बड़ा झटका लगा है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने राजस्थान हाईकोर्ट के आदेश पर रोक लगाने से इनकार करते हुए चुनाव मार्च 2021 तक टालने से इनकार कर दिया है. साथ ही सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने राज्य चुनाव आयोग को आदेश दिए है कि वो एक सप्ताह में चुनाव कार्यक्रम ���ोटिफाई करें. चुनाव कार्यक्रम की तारीखें 31 अक्टूबर से आगे जाने पर चुनाव आयोग को राजस्थान हाईकोर्ट जाने की छूट दी है.
