OPEC 사무총장 "유가급락 반복되지 않도록 할 것"
OPEC chief Mohammed Barkindo has assured markets once again that oil prices will not crash like they did in the spring over the COVID-19 crisis.
Speaking at the Energy Intelligence Forum on Thursday, Barkindo said the OPEC, non-OPEC partnership will continue to ensure that there will be no relapse into a historic plunge.
Back in April, members of OPEC and their allies reached a deal to cut oil production by nine-point-seven million barrels per day in May and June.
It was the deepest cut ever made by the world's oil producers.
The OPEC chief further hinted optimism that there will be a strong rebound in the global economy, following the introduction of a vaccine next year.
