'Mangaluru Dasara' celebrations also known as Navaratri began at the Gokarnanatheshwara temple in the Mangaluru city on October 17.
Devotees thronged to temple on the first day to offer prayers. Famous ‘tiger dance’ was also performed on the occasion.
