Chennai Super Kings (CSK) led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni are having a disappointing Indian Premier League (IPL) season this year. They had a morally crushing defeat on October 23 when the team played against Mumbai Indians, who won by 10 wickets. Weighing in on the CSK defeat, former batsman Virender Sehwag said that Dhoni would be feeling let down by the younger lot. He said that Dhoni would have been satisfied if the new players had put a respectable score on the board. Sehwag said that Dhoni must be disappointed after the performance of the younger players.

चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स की करारी हार के बाद वीरेंदर सहवाग ने टिपण्णी की है. साथ ही एमएस धोनी की सराहना भी की है. वीरेंद्र सहवाग ने क्रिकबज स कहा, ''मुंबई इंडियंस से मिली करारी हार चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स को लंबे समय तक याद रहेगी. यह बात धोनी को और भी खराब लगेगी कि उन्होंने इस मैच में युवाओं को मौका दिया और उन्होंने निराश किया. उन्हें अपने लिए स्कोर करना चाहिए था. उन्हें इस टूर्नामेंट का लुत्फ लेना चाहिए था.' सहवाग ने कहा, 'यदि युवा टीम को 140-150 के सम्मानजनक स्कोर तक भी ले जाते तो धोनी उनकी परफॉर्मेंस को अहमियत देते. धोनी इस बात से और भी आहत हुए कि युवाओं ने उनकी उम्मीद के मुताबिक परफॉर्म नहीं किया.''
