Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja died at a hospital in Bengaluru on June 7. Sarja was 39 when he breathed his last. He was admitted following convulsions and breathlessness. Reportedly, doctors suspect Sarja died due to cardiac arrest, but they are testing him for COVID-19 as well. Chiranjeevi Sarja made his debut in 2009 with the Kannada film Vayuputra. He then went on to feature in 22 other movies. Sarja married Kannada actor Meghana Raj in 2018. He was the nephew of noted multilingual actor Arjun Sarja. Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa expressed shock after hearing about Sarja’s untimely demise. Many celebrities expressed shock & offered their condolences to Sarja’s family. Former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble said that a young talent had “gone too soon”. The last rites will be held on June 8. Chiranjeevi Sarja starred in films such as Samhaara, Aadyaa, Khaki, Sinnga, Amma I Love You, Prema Baraha, Dandam Dashagunam, Varadhanayaka and Vayuputra among others. Sarja was last seen in the Kannada action-drama Shivarjuna.
