According to the scriptures, the rays emanating from the moon on this date have the ability to defeat all types of diseases. On this basis, it is said that on the night of Sharad Purnima, there is nectar from the sky.

वर्ष की सभी पूर्णिमा में आश्विन पूर्णिमा विशेष चमत्कारी मानी गई है। शरद पूर्णिमा का चंद्रमा सोलह कलाओं से युक्त होता है। शास्त्रों के अनुसार इस तिथि पर चंद्रमा से निकलने वाली किरणों में सभी प्रकार के रोगों को हरने की क्षमता होती है। इसी आधार पर कहा जाता है कि शरद पूर्णिमा की रात आकाश से अमृत वर्षा होती है।
