All eyes are on the Bihar Assembly elections, but bypolls to 28 seats in Madhya Pradesh scheduled for November 3 aren't less of a cracker. The bypolls are of vital importance to both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which currently enjoys a comfortable position in the Assembly, and Congress that emerged as the single largest party in 2018 Assembly elections, before the Scindia shocker. The bypolls are also crucial for the veteran leaders of the state, including Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Kamal Nath, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Digvijaya Singh and Narendra Singh Tomar.
