During the National Unity Day celebrations in Gujarat's Kevadia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended greetings for Valmiki Jayanti. Valmiki Jayanti is celebrated across India on the birth anniversary of Maharishi Valmiki. During his address at the Statue of Unity on Saturday, PM Modi said, "It is a wonderful coincidence that today is also Valmiki Jayanti.

The cultural unity of India that we see today, the India we experience, is all because of Adikavi Maharishi Valmiki. He made India more vibrant and energetic.
