Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tested negative for coronavirus on June 9. The reports came a day after Kejriwal went into self-isolation at his home after a bout of fever and throat pain. Kejriwal, 51, had been unwell since the afternoon of June 7 and had not met anyone since then. He had isolated himself at his government bungalow in Delhi. Reportedly, there was greater concern as Kejriwal is diabetic. On June 9, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said Delhi will have 5.5 lakh coronavirus cases by July 31. This comes a day after his government's decision to reserve beds for residents was cancelled by the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. As per the Delhi government's estimates, by June 15 there will be 44,000 cases, one lakh cases by 30 June and 2.25 lakh cases by July 15. Sisodia also informed that there is no community spread of coronavirus in Delhi according to central officials. However, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain had said just before meeting Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal's at his home that half the coronavirus cases in Delhi cannot be traced to any source. The number of cases in Delhi has reached 31,309 with 905 deaths.
