Cyclone Amphan wreaked havoc in the eastern part of the country on May 20. West Bengal & Odisha were battered by the cyclone which led to the destruction of thousands of homes, uprooting of trees & electric poles. According to CM Mamata Banerjee, more than 72 lives were lost in West Bengal. Many Bollywood celebrities took to social media to express concern and pray for the safety of those affected. Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher, Nimrat Kaur, Riteish Deshmukh, Pritam, Adnan Sami, Shoojit Sircar, Rahul Bose & others tweeted praying for the safety & well-being of the victims of the cyclone.
