Poll-bound West Bengal has recorded eight deaths per 1 lakh population as of Friday. The state is one of the five worst-hit states as per Covid deaths per 1 lakh population. Meanwhile, the Centre informed the Supreme Court on Friday that 10 states contribute almost 77 per cent of the active coronavirus caseload in the country. The 10 states that are adding more coronavirus active cases per day to the total active caseload are Maharashtra, Kerala, Delhi, West Bengal, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Andhra Pradesh.
