Venice flooded again on Tuesday,... with water levels reaching chest-high.
The Italian city has suffered centuries of flooding.
And residents, who are long accustomed to the bad weather and high tides, pulled on their rubber boots once more.
Tuesday's flooding, however, could've been avoided,... if the newly installed barrier system had been raised properly.
Italy introduced the new 8 billion dollar dam, known as MOSE, ahead of the flood season.
It was successfully activated five times in the past.
But when it was tested again on Tuesday,... it failed.
