Bridge in Raub collapses as flood situation worsens in Pahang

An abutment of a bridge leading to Kampung Lechar in Raub collapsed at around 6.30pm on Sunday.
Raub has became the first district in Pahang to be hit by floods during the monsoon season this year.
Pahang Fire and Rescue Department Zone Three chief Sharulnizam Nasir said continuous rain since 6pm yesterday had caused low-lying areas in four villages in the district to be flooded from 12.30am.
Meanwhile, Terengganu and Kelantan continued to record an increase in the number of flood evacuees compared to yesterday.
