On January 13, Lohri festival is being celebrated all over North India. In Punjab and Haryana, there is a lot of enthusiasm among the people regarding this festival. People are sending congratulations and sweets to their friends and relatives. In the evening, people will burn Lohri in the open and circumambulate it by putting peanuts, gazak and sesame in the holy fire. But few people know why they put sesame, rhubarb, peanuts in the fire of Lohri in this festival.
