Zarko Palankov is an experienced business leader and founder based in Washington DC. After being born and raised in Bulgaria, he has since worked and studied in several countries around the world. Since settling in the United States, Zarko has been a founding member in multiple organizations.
One of Zarko Palankov’s earliest endeavors was the Global Language Network, a nonprofit organization providing affordable and accessible language classes to adult learners in Washington DC. Zarko co-founded the organization in 206 and also served the organization as President for many years. During his tenure, the Global Language Network offered over 800 classes in 60 languages to thousands of learners.
In 2015, Zarko Palankov also founded LeadIN, an organization connecting people from different backgrounds and helping them to grow in their leadership potential. He is passionate about leadership development and firmly believes that anyone can be a leader, regardless of their age, title, or formal education. LeadIN aims to support people in their growth while connecting them with others for support.
Zarko Palankov also provides a wide range of consulting services, including educational consulting, business consulting, leadership development, training, team building, corporate training, nonprofit consulting, and strategic planning. He has worked as a Senior Organizational Development Consultant for the World Bank for the past five years, providing expertise in a variety of fields.
For his education, Zarko Palankov attended Ohio Wesleyan University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and English. He later went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs from George Washington University. His graduate-level studies included a concentration in European and Eurasian studies.
Zarko Palankov’s favorite activities include watching movies, playing and watching soccer, and reading. He is passionate about music and listens to a wide variety of styles. He also composes music and plays both the guitar and piano. Zarko also enjoys creative writing, especially poetry. He is also very concerned about the environment and enjoys learning about how we can work together to protect it.
