FKA Twigs Reveals More Details About
Shia LaBeouf’s Alleged Abuse.
FKA Twigs appeared a second time on Louis Theroux’s
podcast to provide more details about the alleged abuse
she endured while dating Shia LaBeouf. .
According to Twigs, she wasn’t allowed to “look men
in the eye,” for fear of how LaBeouf would react. .
I was told that I knew what he was like,
and if I loved him, I wouldn't look men in the eye …
that does a lot to someone's confidence …
Just any sort of day to day pleasant interaction
could result in a three-day event of me being
berated and kept awake, FKA Twigs, to 'Grounded With Louis Theroux'.
LaBeouf would also allegedly punish her
if she didn’t meet a set “quota” of kissing and
touching him throughout the day.
He would wake me up in the night to accuse
me of all sorts of things … accuse me of not
wanting to be with him, of wanting to be with
someone else, but it would be always between
four and seven in the morning, FKA Twigs, to 'Grounded With Louis Theroux'.
Twigs said that for a while after
leaving LaBeouf, she struggled with
early morning panic attacks, as she was
“left with PTSD from” LaBeouf’s abuse. .
Twigs finally found the strength to leave the relationship
after calling a free helpline for abused women. .
The helpline was a “massive wake-up call,” which is why
one of the conditions in her lawsuit against LaBeouf is that
he donates to a helpline or similar organization. .
This situation is not really about Shia anymore,
and it's not really about me. I'm doing this for
something much bigger - I just want to change
the conversation and the stigma around domestic
abuse. I've definitely healed to a point where
I can put my experience into something positive
