Britain could share coronavirus jabs with neighbours and developing countries if diverting doses does not interrupt the Government’s domestic vaccine rollout, Liz Truss has suggested.

The International Trade Secretary stressed in a media broadcast round on Sunday that the UK wants to work with overseas partners to overcome Covid-19.

She insisted it would be damaging to become a "vaccinated island" while other countries go without jabs. The UK is eventually set to have a surplus of stock, having ordered 367 million doses of vaccine from seven different developers, although not all of these have been approved so far.
