Putrajaya has created a new ministerial portfolio - national covid-19 immunisation programme coordinator - this will be helmed by Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin.

Khairy already holds the science, technology and innovation portfolio.

Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, in a televised address today, said Khairy will lead a special team dealing with logistics and coordination among states and government agencies.
