On February 7, a glacier burst in Joshimath of Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district triggered massive flooding of the Alaknanda & Dhauliganga rivers. Reportedly, 14 people were killed & 170 are still missing. Several Bollywood celebrities expressed solidarity with those affected by the tragedy.

Sonu Sood, who helped thousands of migrant workers reach their hometowns during the coronavirus induced lockdown last year, wrote on Twitter that he stands with the people of Uttarakhand.

Shraddha Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, Prasoon Joshi, Abhishek Kapoor and many others expressed grief and offered prayers to the victims of the tragedy.

Multiple Tollywood celebrities took to their social media profile sending condolences and prayers to the victims of the sudden tragedy. Mahesh Babu, Ravi Teja, Mehreen Pirzada took to social media to express grief.
