Rohit Sharma's struggles in the Test matches continued on Monday as well as he failed to score runs in the second innings of the first Test against England. After smashing a scintillating six through a pull shot off Jofra Archer, Rohit couldn't continue for much longer as he was clean bowled by left-arm spinner Jack Leach. Rohit scored just 6 runs in the first innings before poking at a Jofra Archer delivery outside the off-stump straight into the hands of the wicket-keeper Jos Buttler. Rohit's failures have not been new as apart from a 52 in Australia, Rohit hasn't been troubling the scorers much.

रोहित शर्मा दूसरी पारी में भी फेल हो गए. हिटमैन रोहित शर्मा ने शुरुआत शानदार तरीके से की थी. पर ज्यादा देर तक क्रीज पर टिक नहीं सके. रोहित शर्मा पहली पारी की तरह इस बार भी दूसरी पारी में फ्लॉप साबित हुए. जैक लीच ने रोहित शर्मा को क्लीन बोल्ड कर दिया. पर आउट करने से पहले उन्होंने अच्छे से रोहित शर्मा के लिए बनाया था. जाल बुना था और उसी जाल में रोहित फंस गए. हुआ ये कि बाएँ हाथ के स्पिनर जैक लीच लगातार चौथे ऑफ स्टम्प पर टप्पा डाल रहे थे. और अंदर से बाहर गेंद को लेकर जा रहे थे. और जिस गेंद पर रोहित आउट हुए, वो जैक लीच ने ऑफ स्टम्प की लाइन पर डाला था. लिहाजा, हुआ ये कि गेंद सीधे ऑफ स्टम्प को उड़ा दी. चूँकि, रोहित लाइन से मिस कर गए थे. बल्ले और गेंद में कोई सम्पर्क नहीं हुआ.
