The deadlock between the government and farmers over the three new agricultural laws continues. The farmers are sitting on the borders of Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speech in Parliament has appealed the farmers to end the agitation and hold talks. On the other hand, peasant organizations have intensified their movement. The United Farmers' Front has announced a nationwide 'rail stop' campaign on 18 February.
