The below-freezing temperatures around Lake Michigan in Michigan City, Indiana, caused the lake and the surrounding lighthouse pier and catwalk to freeze over. The whole area looked like a white wonderland. Chunks of ice floating over the water surface crashed into the sides of the pier as the waves ebbed and flowed.
