Brad Stevens talked to media before the matchup against the Hawks about the early offense utilized against Denver, which Stevens said became more effective as the game went on. When asked about Marcus Smart, Coach Stevens said while he looks good in drills, it doesn't necessarily mean that he's ready for 5 on 5. He continued to heap praise on Smart, saying the team misses his playmaking, defense and energy. Stevens also credited the energy and effort Boston got out of their team against Denver. Coach Stevens was asked about Trae Young, and says that it's always a challenge to defend him around picks and without fouling.
