Search and rescue operation continues at Tapovan tunnel in Joshimath of Chamoli district.

61 bodies and 28 body parts have been retrieved so far as per Chamoli Police. Meanwhile, rescue teams are still engaged in finding missing people. A water sensor warning system has been installed in Raini village to warn for emergencies.

On February 7, a massive flood following glacier burst in Tapovan washed away many people and caused massive damages to the proprieties and nearby Rishiganga power project.
