Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan's forthcoming sports drama 'Jhund', helmed by Nagraj Manjule, will hit the big screens on June 18, 2021.
Jhund is based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer.
In the film Bachchan plays a professor who motivates the street children to form a football team. The film also stars Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru in the lead roles.
The biographical sports-drama is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Hiremath, Nagraj Manjule, Gargee Kulkarni, Sandip Ssingh, and Meenu Arora under the banner of T-Series, Tandav Films, and Aatpat Films.
Confirming the release date Big B wrote:
“Covid gave us many setbacks...but it's comeback time now...!! WE'RE BACK IN THE THEATERS... "JHUND" releasing 18th June 2021 in THEATERS!!..."
The film was earlier scheduled to release in September 2020 but was pushed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Big B, who was last seen in 'Gulabo Sitabo', currently the actor has three films lined up for release, including fantasy-adventure 'Brahmastra', Ajay Devgn's 'Mayday' and thriller 'Chehre'.
