The Modi Government is all set to issue new social media and OTT rules. The govt has issued the guidelines as rules and may not entail amendment of the Information Technology Act. The rules will cover the big platforms like Google, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar and others. The guidelines announced by Union Minister for MEITY Ravi Shankar Prasad and information and broadcasting ministrr Prakash Javadekar on Thursday. Watch the video for more information.
