Shutters came down on the popular Tai Buan Porridge shop along Muntri Street in George Town, Penang with a large crowd making a beeline to sample their favourite Teochew dishes for the one last time.
The queue stretched for at least 100m, with even the scorching heat failed to stop patrons from tasting the pieces of duck meat, pork innards, pork belly and tofu gently braised away in soy sauce.
