Giannis Antetokounmpo was interviewed postgame after the Celtics 121-119 loss vs the Bucks. He got off to a slow start, but his teammates picked up the slack. Milwaukee shot 50% from the field and 45.9% from three in the win.
He talked about the team’s defense, which has been great during their recent stretch of success. “Well it was great,” he said in reference to the Bucks defense down the stretch. Neither the Bucks, nor the Celtics were able to score in the final 1:32 of the game.
Antetokounmpo praised teammates Donte Divincenzo and PJ Tucker. Both of them made some big plays on the defensive end. Divincenzo had a huge block on Kemba Walker late in the game. Tucker was doing a great job switching onto Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
The two-time reigning MVP finished the night with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. He did so on 4-11 shooting from the field and 1-3 shooting from deep.
