Jaylen Brown was interviewed postgame following the Celtics’ 113-108 loss vs the Dallas Mavericks. He talked about the constant pessimism surrounding the team this season amidst their various struggles.
“Everyone wants to be pessimistic and pick everything apart. It doesn’t help anything,” said the All-Star. He was clearly deflated after another tough loss, but gave off the impression that people should stay positive. It’s clear that he doesn’t think pessimism will help anyone in this situation.
Brown also talked about their ability to respond to adversity. They were down by a lot in this one but just couldn’t complete the comeback. Boston has had some solid fourth quarters as of late, but the issue lies in the middle of games.
He also mentioned that the Celtics “have an opportunity to change things around.” The season is not over, and Brown is choosing to keep a positive mindset during the team’s losses.
