During the proceedings in the Odisha Legislative Assembly, the situation became turbulent when the opposition parties allegedly threw shoes, earphones and papers on behalf of the BJP MLAs towards the Speaker's seat. This incident happened when the House passed the Odisha Lokayukta (Amendment) Bill in a hurry within a few minutes without discussion. Three BJP MLAs have been suspended following the uproar.

ओडिशा विधानसभा में कार्यवाही के दौरान स्थिति उस समय हंगामेदार हो गई जब विपक्षी दल बीजेपी के विधायकों की ओर से स्पीकर के आसन की तरफ कथित रूप से जूते, ईयरफोन और कागज फेंके. ये घटना उस वक्त हुई जब सदन ने बिना चर्चा के चंद मिनटों के भीतर ओडिशा लोकायुक्त (संशोधन) विधेयक को जल्दबाजी में पारित कर दिया. हंगामे के बाद बीजेपी के तीन विधायकों को निलंबित कर दिया गया है.
