Brad Stevens Pregame Interview | Celtics vs 76ers

Views 31

Brad Stevens spoke at his pregame press conference, and cautioned that Evan Fournier shouldn’t be expected to return this week. This is the second time Evan Fournier has entered health and safety protocols after joining the Celtics. The first time was said to be due to a false positive test, but this information now has many questioning that idea.
Stevens also talked at length about Romeo Langford's return to the rotation. He said that while Langford will not be getting a ton of minutes anytime soon, he is ready to make a big-time impact. He says that Langford “steps into our team as one of our better wing defenders right away.”
Coach also addressed the status of Kemba Walker, Semi Ojeleye, and Tristan Thompson. Ojeleye will be available against the 76ers tonight, as well as moving forward. Stevens said that he hopes to have Thompson back by tomorrow’s game against the Knicks. As for Walker, he will play tonight and sit out tomorrow just as he has been doing on back-to-backs all season long. There was no consideration for him playing against the Knicks instead due to the current standings in the Eastern Conference.
