Payton Pritchard was interviewed postgame after the Celtics’ 119-115 loss vs the Thunder. He talked about Jaylen Brown’s comments on urgency, pushing the pace as a team, and taking early threes.
Brown talked about the team’s issues with effort and urgency lately. Pritchard was also asked about this in his press conference. “They hit some big shots when we were trying to make runs,” said Pritchard. “We messed up on some defensive assignments at times.”
He also talked about how much he likes to play with pace, and whether or not the team should be doing that even more. “I think we wanna play fast,” said Pritchard. “It’s just the mindset, it’s something we’re going to keep working on and continue to do.”
Lastly, Pritchard was asked about whether or not the C’s should be taking threes early on in the shot clock. “Definitely,” he said. “If a team goes under [the screen] you have to make them pay.”
