The country now has a team of eight athletes heading to the Tokyo Olympics.
Rower Cris Nievarez is the latest Filipino to qualify for the games.
And the announcement comes just days after he seemingly fell short of an Olympic spot at the World Rowing Asian and Oceanian qualifiers in Japan.
