The Northern Territory Health Minister says the Government is looking at returning birthing facilities to remote and regional locations and hopes to do so within the next decade. Currently, pregnant women living in remote locations must leave their communities at 38 weeks and travel to Darwin, Alice Springs or Katherine to wait for their babies to be born.
